When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). We do not collect payment information — the platform is free.
Camera and microphone access is only active when you are inside a study room. We do not record, store, or transmit your video or audio to our servers. All video streams are peer-to-peer between users.
Room chat messages are stored to provide chat history. Private direct messages between users are stored to allow message history. You can delete your account to remove your data.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not serve ads. Your data is used only to operate the platform.
We use localStorage in your browser to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. You may also update your profile information at any time from the dashboard.
You must be 13 years or older to use Virtual Study Room. By using the platform you confirm you meet this requirement.
